Costly Obedience…

Friday morning we had just finished a call. Eric and I were in the middle of talking to the kids about how faithful their Heavenly Father was.
The goodness and love we saw on that zoom was hard to put into words…
The people He has called to step into this next step….
They were chosen…
And as humbled as we are to have them…I feel a heaviness…a need to protect them from the calling….
Obedience is rewarded by our Father…
It is expected….and you will never regret answering yes…
But I was reminded Friday…
pushing back the darkness
will cost you.
About five minutes after our zoom meeting on Friday, I had stepped into another room to take a follow up call to discuss decor and location details.
Our ask is coming….
Our boldest…
most raw call to action is here.
The details are almost set and we are finalizing the last thoughts before the release.
As I was speaking with a friend from the zoom, I heard commotion from the other rooms. I heard Vivian crying but that is not out of the normal due to her tiny but mighty spirit God has given her.
I was continuing to talk through details as I heard the crys becoming louder and closer.
I stepped out of the door to try to understand and
that is where Eric met me,
hugging our daughter in one arm….
and trying to brace her very distorted leg in the other….
It all hit at once…
I gasped and told our friend I had to go….
Through the nausea all I could say was….
”Christy, I have to let you go…
Vivian has broken her leg….
again….”
Children are supposed to scuff their knees and get battle wounds from playing in the cul de sac….
Testing their limits by racing down the driveway on their bikes…
Or falling trying a cart wheel…
just once more…
so they can stick the landing…
………
Not from seizures….
Not from seizures that break their little bones…
Come Lord Jesus…
Come now Father….
Please stop this suffering….
Vivian has a lot of healing ahead of her…
Please ready yourself….
Our ask is here….
And we need every one of you to answer the call.
THE TIME IS NOW.
