The Night Before

Tomorrow we wake up to a nine year old little miracle boy.

A little boy that came home not even 4 weeks old on hospice…

Terminal diseases do not play fair.

His years have been hard fought…

Painfully gained..

But there is so much joy in his sweet spirit.. so much life left to live.

It is tradition in our home, once the birthday boy or girl goes to sleep, to decorate the house and get it ready for the birthday fun.

Something about waking up to balloons and all the bright colors… the kids love it, even as they get older.

Tomorrow we will bring the FAIR to Drake!

We have games, prizes to win, “pies” in the face… all the things that sometimes we don’t get to be apart of because they simply can become too over stimulating in a large crowd.

Tomorrow we celebrate a little boy’s 9th birthday…

But also a God who is so faithful.

Happy Birthday son, may year 9 be the life changing year that we see on the horizon.
